The adventure begins

Sir Ranulph Fiennes OBE will today (Wednesday April 2) set off for the first leg of his journey as he prepares to climb Mount Everest for Marie Curie Cancer Care. Sir Ranulph and expedition guide Kenton Cool will set off from London this morning where they will fly to Kathmandu. From there the team will spend approximately 10 days making their way to Everest base camp. Aiming to arrive mid April, the team will then begin the acclimatisation process in preparation for their summit attempt in mid May.
