Namche Bazaar, Nepal

April 14th, 2008 at 12:11 pm |

Sir Ranulph Fiennes has arrived at base camp after a week long trek. The team are setting up their equipment and are busy settling into their new surroundings; we will have some images of their arrival soon.

In the video above, Sir Ranulph Fiennes is filmed en-route at Namche Bazaar, about half-way to Everest base camp, where he describes the trek, acclimatisation and accommodation.

Namche Bazaar lies at around 3,460 metres above sea level and is the last place to stock up on any mountaineering equipment the team may have forgotten before they embark on the rest of their journey.
